As law abiding and country-loving citizens, we recognize that Pres. Elect Noynoy Aquino has his work cut out for him.As President, his job is to deliver the campaign promises he has made.

As our contribution to his efforts, AP will exert the effort to:

  • Keep score of the promises made.
  • Suggest metrics/KPIs that can be used to evaluate the campaign promise.
  • Capture the existing data/metrics at the throughout Aquino’s term.
  • Come to a conclusion on whether the promise has been delivered or not.

The evolving evaluation framework

The framework for evaluation of course shall be based on the campaign promises. The table below provides an idea on how this will be approached.

Each of the promises will in turn have their respective pages where these shall be reviewed in detail, facts will be cross-checked and validated by our resident Vulcans.

After reviewing the various components, we will come up with an over-all balanced scorecard that we believe is an objective measure of whether Noynoy lived up to his promises or not.

This is a work in progress – and we will be rolling out the full blown – truth-o-meter in the days to come.

Noynoy Aquino’s Promises

Rating the Promises

Rating the promises will be quite straightforward. The following ratings will be used to track the various promises made.

    Bong,

    Great idea. Are you assigning weights to each of the campaign promises?

    then noynoyistas are going to come out of thew woodwork to ask where was the list for GMA and such.

    I think the least qualified definitely deserves the most scrutiny, for all the right reasons and for the benefit of all.

    Well, they can come up with their list as an addition to the AP initiative – it is certainly most welcome.

    Once they go through the exercise – then they would have learned something – and will be in for lots of rude awakenings .

    hi brianitus:

    for now – it’s straightforward – each campaign promise will be rated, in time, as:

    * Compromises
    * Promises kept

    Good move Bong. The campaign promises can be divided into performance areas with corresponding service indicators. I’ll help in completing the framework. My additional inputs later…

    Maybe there should be a meter rating the hot air coming out of the media as well. Recent gems from the Inquirer and Philippine Star reviewed here:

    A DOUBLE DOSE OF NOYPUFF

    What’s worse than a Noynoy Aquino puff piece on a Sunday morning?

    TWO Noynoy Aquino puff pieces on a Sunday morning.

    Last Sunday, the Philippine Star and the Philippine Daily Inquirer published two cloying profiles on Aquino that would bend the mind of anyone with the faintest grip on reality.

    These two write-ups deserve a thorough dissection if only to demonstrate the remarkable talent yellow propagandists have for spinning heroic narratives out of the flimsiest raw material.
