Noynoy Supporters are Proof that The Philippines is a Wowowee Idiocracy

Everytime I read about Noynoy Aquino leading in the surveys, I am reminded of how stupid Filipinos are. What strengthens my belief in their collective stupidity is the vapidity of the reasons they give as to why they want to vote for him as the next president. The guy has absolutely no accomplishments, the paltry sum of nine bills he filed failed to become laws and there is a total absence of anything notable that he has done for the country, the organizations he joined and even himself! Even his claim to being a “fiscalizer” is dubious because there is no solid data to support such a claim.

The “reasons” people give are very shallow and mostly rooted in emotions. They mostly go along the lines of him being the son of Ninoy and Cory and that he will continue their legacies. Ask them what his accomplishments are, and they cannot give any results that Noynoy has delivered. He just filed those nine bills and held various positions where he was basically a lame duck.

I have always said that the reason Filipinos are drawn to Noynoy is because he is the candidate whose current situation fits perfectly as a protagonist in a cheesy telenovela. His father was killed in the past, his mom who continued the fight recently died and then he got “discernment” from “Bro” to become the savior. “Siya na nga” as the morons would say.

One of the shows that contributes to the moronization of The Filipinos is Wowowee. It is a game show wherein poor contestants play silly games or make themselves look ridiculous in order to win cash prizes. The more pathetic your situation is, the more money the host Willie Revillame will give you. For example, there was one contestant who was interviewed by Willie for a certain game and when asked what her job was she said she was a street sweeper. When asked what her husband was, she said he is unemployed. When asked how many children she had, she said she had 17. Then she started crying about how she cannot support her children, how she has to take on extra jobs, how her children could not eat full meals and then followed these through with a litany of other miseries that were a result of her stupidity and irresponsibility. After she announced to the public how pathetic her situation was, Willie Revillame gave her a big sum of money.

For an ordinary idiot, that was a good display of being “humane” but if you look at it objectively, that woman should not be rewarded for her stupidity and instead should be shamed. She should not be put on a pedestal to be applauded and given prize money. There are also parts where a contestant will talk to her mother/son or some relative in the crowd and they will exchange sad stories, cry and collect money directly proportionate to the volume of tears they shed or how pathetic their situations are. What it would do is establish in people’s minds that the more pathetic you are, the more rewards you should be given.

The show does not take half a brain to conceptualize and implement. No intellectual effort at all. All you have to do is gather sexy girls, ugly people to make fun of and dime-a-dozen comedians. Have them do those repetitive songs, cheesy sexy dance numbers, demeaning jokes and other sorts of trash. Mix it in with portions where you make fun of people in the audience and the more ridiculous they make themselves look like or sound, the more money they will get. Let me know if I am missing anything. The quality of entertainment (or lack of it thereof) is so appalling that you would wonder why such a show would survive and even thrive in a society of thinking human beings. Well, it thrives in The Philippines because most of the people there do not use their brains and are very unprincipled. The people in the show reflect the hordes of imbeciles voting for Noynoy. No matter what we do, the filipinos are not in any way capable of having a good leader neither do they deserve one because they allow themselves to be used by people like Willie Revillame.

Look at this video for an example of what people can learn from this show particularly in frames 36:-39:

The vicious cycle of Filipinos having little intellectual capacity and watching shows that further deteriorates their minds could only result in a populace that would fall for the cheap marketing gimmicks of Noynoy Aquino or even Manny Villar handlers. With these kinds of shows constantly inputting garbage into the minds of The Filipinos, they get easily sensationalized by semblances of melodrama like when Mar Roxas stepped down in favor of Noynoy who “lucked out” by having his mother die.

A good candidate like Richard Gordon who can really get the country out of the rut it is in right now has very little chance of winning because it takes a normal human brain and a strong set of principles to arrive at a rational decision that Gordon is the best man for the job. Sadly, the sentimentality of Cory Aquino’s death and Ninoy’s supposed heroism gets the moronic Filipino populace enthralled and high on it as if it were a dose of heroine that clouds the mind. Others who are supposedly “intelligent” want to vote for Noynoy because he is the “lesser evil” and that voting for others would just make Villar (someone perceived to be corrupt) win. For me that is unprincipled because a vote is for someone you deem to be the right one for the position and nothing else. If you vote based on surveys then you are nothing but part of a herd of sheep who goes wherever the rest go -- even to the slaughterhouse.

As The Filipino population hankers after furthering their destruction, I could not help but sigh and shake my head. There they are hypnotized by the tunes the pied pipers play as they plunge together into the water to die like the rats that they are.

The Filipino friends I have who are really smart and have very good positions in companies love Antipinoy.com. They thanked me for sending the link and they said all Filipinos must visit this site. I am sure that only the maids, dishwashers, prostitutes, estrada supporters and band members are the ones who will hate this because they stick to Filipino culture.

Hmm…let me see if I can explain this more clearly okay?

The stupid people in the country are the ruling elite (not all elites) -most of them are located in Manila. Manila is the scummiest place in the whole country since it consist of self-loathing Filipinos, among other racist nationalities/robots that’s only in Manila to consume.

The very kind of people that supported the EDSA 1 & 2 People Power revolution which is the primary culprit why the Philippines has regressed significantly.

The poor or the masses has nothing to do with it since it was only a small percentage – probably less than 3% of the country’s population.

I can guess, your so-called smart Filipinos maybe one of those people who supported EDSA 1 & 2, and Cory Aquino too. What is surprising though is that – although the above blog is anti-Noynoy – it still wreaks of Cory supporters.the idiot ones who prefers to march on the streets without really understanding what they are marching for. It just seemed cool coz local celebrities are joining the walk.

The mythical notion of Filipinos being the “world’s
happiest” is just that. A self-delusional myth that envelopes the
people’s minds into being “content and happy” with their condition no
matter how squalid it is. In the so-called survey, it was said that
the Japanese are the least happy. If I remember right, so are the
Singaporeans. Well, maybe because they are the most honest about what
they really feel.

I (along with my friends) have always advocated the Singaporean model
of development brought about by Lee Kuan Yew’s “benevolent
authoritarianism”. In Singapore, even the most minor infractions such
as spitting or throwing cigarette butts warrant a fine of more than a
hundred dollars (and jail time if its a bad day).

In the Philippines meanwhile, such draconian regulations would
immediately draw reactions from so-called cause oriented groups or
some ridiculous running priest.

One would say that Singaporean society’s rigid norms do not cultivate
creativity. I would beg to disagree. The progress brought about by
benevolent authoritarianism’s social order enabled the singaporean
citizens to have enough means to manifest their creativity. They can
purchase computers where they can program games and create graphics,
the latest digital cameras, digital music instruments and hire the
best art teachers from Europe because of their affluence.

The Philippines on the other hand, with its “creativity nurturing”
(ahem) “freedom and democracy” has masses living in one of the most
decadent conditions in the planet. How could these “freedom loving
Filipino people” manifest their creativity? Play music using
flattenned “tanzans” skewered through a circular “alambre” wire?
Painting cheesy murals on the streets and walls of buildings?

LKY was right about the Philippines. The problem with it is TOO MUCH
DEMOCRACY.

Without discipline, there is no progress, without progress, happiness
is but a tanzan tamborine. Hay nako.

Sometimes we can’t please everybody … lalo na ang Pinoy … most of the times we Pinoy get so riled up when somebody step up at isa isa nitong ipagsisigawan ang mga negatibong nakikita nila

Tingan mo na lang ang mga pulis natin … kapag naka hanay ka kikisig ng mga lintek … ke tatapang tingnan pero mga bwakanang inang mga iyan nakatakas na ang salarin at nailibing na ang namatay bago pa dumating … magaling lang naman bumanat ang mga yan kung hindi nalaban ang kalaban … buti pa ang mga sundalo natin eh kahit papaano maipagmamalaki mo … pero itong mga lintek na pulis natin … duwag na kanya kanya pang kotongan … pati tuloy yung iilang matitinong pulis di na naigagalang gawa ng mga damuhong … ewan ko ba …

Kung ako tatanungin ninyo malabong magbabago ang Pilipinas kung hindi mawawala ang systemic na sakit sa lipunan – solusyon? Tama si tatang we need TOTAL DISCIPLINE … sagasaan ang dapat sagasaan at ipatupad ng husto ang mga batas at higit sa lahat palitan ang mga nakaupo sa pamahalaan ng isang magtataguyod sa batas ng walang kinikilingan …

Filipinos world’s happiest?

Just about a month ago, I felt dazed, wobbly, befuddled after
conversing with a relatively young Roman Catholic priest. It was at a
birthday celebration of a close friend at a Malate restaurant. The
celebrant requested me to join the priest at his table and I readily
obliged. Little did I expect our brief meeting would shock me to the
roots of my hair.

I inquired, I think, as to the legendary patience of the Filipino, his
resignation, his fatalism. I asked innocently of course whether the
Church’s preachments and teachings contributed to this attitude of
suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune gladly. The
query was asked in good grace, could never have been considered as
offensive.

Well, the monsignor’s reply floored me as though an ironball hit me
on the neck. He said, without batting an eyelash, that Filipinos were
the happiest people on earth. How do you prove that, Father, I asked.
He replied this was the result of a survey undertaken by a reputable
poll organization. And he added the survey also showed the Japanese
were the unhappiest people of the globe. You really believe that, I
asked. He said he did. Look around you, don’t you find the Filipinos
happy?

I replied, again very gently, that I couldn’t consider suffering
people, a deeply deprived and oppressed people happy. I mentioned our
poverty, the fact majority of our people lived in slums or squatter
areas. I added our people were getting hungry, only able to eat one
or two meals a day. Then I poured it on. How could the Filipinos be
happy when many were getting sick, when babies were dying because
they had no milk to suckle, when children were literally dying in
their parents’ arms?

The good Father simply smiled. “What you are talking about,” he
said, “is physical pain.” The Filipino takes this pain very well.
Inside him, the grace of God resides and this is the opposite of
physical pain. I said Father, you must be joking, I do not see how
anybody can be happy in the midst of all this poverty, when the poor
get buried much more often than the rich, when the curse of sickness
deforms the human being, when a baby, who has all the right to live,
shivers greatly and sinks into permanent darkness. Isn’t life the
gift of God? Isn’t life to be nourished and preserved at all costs?

Everybody around the table was of course listening and so were those
occupying the adjoining tables. The reverend father fidgeted for a
brief moment before begging to leave, saying he had other things to
attend to. I surmised, of course, that our conversation had gone a
little bit too far, And perhaps I was getting emotional. I was. I
couldn’t stand the assertion that Filipinos were the happiest people
on earth. Following the reverend’s logic, life on earth mattered
little. What mattered was getting into heaven and if poverty hastened
this, then so much the better. The more impoverished he is, the
happier the Filipino becomes. Heaven swings into view.

I just couldn’t accept this crap. But it jarred and shocked me no
end. Elsewhere in Asia and other regions and continents, millions
worked very hard, sought jobs, sought education, struggled from
morning to sometimes almost midnight not just to keep alive, but
extricate themselves from poverty. They had a vision. They looked at
tomorrow, well into the future. They had leaders that prodded them to
struggle more fiercely at the oars. That way, progress would
materialize, eventual access to better jobs, health, education, a
decent, caring society, a leadership conscious of the common weal,
love of self, love of God and love of country.

But that priest could be right and others who talked, felt, and
believed like him. Against poverty and wretchedness, the Filipino had
a coping mechanism. If everything was God’s will, then his
unhappiness was illusory.

He was meant to suffer on earth, because this prepared him for the
rewards of paradise, eternal happiness. And yet, even if I try to go
along, it is crap, unadulterated crap. It somehow excuses the sins,
the sordid shortcomings of the rich. It flattens out all reason,
leaves one to the mercy of a medieval theology. Might is right. And
when might is the sole arbiter of earthly things, so be it. The
succor of heaven will come anyway.

Whence this culture of ours? Are we Filipinos fated just to sing and
pray, fall on our knees, accept every misery because this is the will
of the Almighty?

Naiintindihan ko rin ang galit ninyo sa Christianity. Again, Christianity have nothing to do with the Spaniards who were abusing the Filipinos. Yes, there are killings but not in the same way as crimes that’s happening in Africa. the killings are actually more similar with those happening in Latin America i.e. Colombia, Peru, Bolivia. Bakit kaya ganun? hindi nyo ba naiisip yan?

Malaki po ang mundo. Ang nangyayari sa Pilipinas ay hindi lamang kagagawan ng mga pinoy. we are part of the big whole. The virus is global. Responsibilidad ng Pilipinas na maging matino para sa kapakanan ng mundo.

The Spaniards who were here were crazy – but it is not the real culture of the people from Spain. Why do you think they were crazy? They were all travelling in a big boat for years – with no proper hygiene, all men, no proper living quarters – can you imagine the time that was happening? you are from the US, you can imagine how environmental factors affect your mental health. These people were deprived of humane privileges while on the boat so when they arrived in the Philippines – a beautiful rich bountiful country – with utterly trusting, naive natives.

Their negative nature took over because these Spaniards can no longer think straight. They were already hallucinating and they lived out their hallucination.

The Philippines is the OLDEST colony of all Spanish colonies. We had 400 years of abuse. We won our victory against Spain, but our people were betrayed.

When Andres Bonifacio won the fight against Spain, little did he know, we were already sold to the Americans, with more advance warfare – so our people were tired and exhausted – we lost the war after wining one war.

How is that fair Tata Temyong? can you feel the pain of our people? naiintindihan mo ba ang abuse na nadadaanan ng tao natin?

So when the Americans came, who were the landowners of the Philippines? weren’t they the descendants of the Spaniards? the Mestizo? ako po ay mestizo.

for 400 years, this country had been stratified in many levels. The poor/slaves, middle class, and the elite. Who did the Americans tap to rule this country for 50 years?

Manuel Quezon is the idiot. We needed America – at that time but he was an idiot. it wasn’t the Philippines – he was the only one. America picked very BAD leaders at that time.

Then again, America consist of careless people whose only goal is to be able to use the Philippines since it fits perfectly with their Omega plan. The Philippines, US, and Liberia.

The US even wanted to make us a STATE. Did you know that? we were that important to them. We would have been indispensable to them of Manuel Quezon didn’t resist that.

But what’s done is done. We need to adopt to the change. Maraming pagbabago na hindi natin controllado. Ang masasabi ko ngayon – amidst our bad decisions, we are also ahead in the age of globalization.

Jesus Christ was, in fact, an amazing revolutionary. If you look closely at the Gospels of Mark and Luke, you will see that Jesus Christ was an intellectual, a great philosopher and a passionate activist. He even scolded His disciples for being slow in realizing the truths of their time–that the Pharisees were abusive, corrupt and were too legalistic that they failed to address the people’s real problems. He openly defied the ruling class of His time by healing the sick during Sabbath, scoffing at the law of healing only on non-Sabbath day as illogical and impractical.. Defying the Pharisees’ tradition, He dined with sinners so he would have a feel of their real needs. Many more instances in the story of His life show that he was not the meek , weak and subservient man you try to picture here—accepting only what’s given to Him. On the contrary, He rebelled against the injustices of His time.

I believe Anti-Pinoys should have Jesus Christ, in fact, as role model of the revolutionary par excellence. Examine His life very closely. In the midst of the powerful Pharisees, the brutal Roman army, the corrupt Roman rulers, Jesus did not cower in fear but instead stood tall and fought with His life for the truths to set us–and our minds– free.

Gather statistics on how many of the viewers are fit to watch and be responsible for certain shows, statistics to show if they have indeed provided balanced programming. That should be what you are advocating for people to do. To create these bodies that protect the common good.

Some people are just good at criticizing offering no tangible solutions.

Of course the Cojuangcos/Aquino gets away with it – why do you think? hello? common sense dictates if you own the media, who’s there to quack about it? If they have the support of the communist who’s now elected into office and are not holding positions in all levels of the government (those with no names and no faces), how do you track them?

I do understand the effort you are trying to do here but we have to be careful when to draw the line when enough is enough.

Everyone remains responsible and must have some awareness of accountability.

Yes, you may mean well but you have to consider that there’s always two sides of the coin.

No one person is infallible. No one person is incorruptible. I agree with most of what you wrote on this blog but the general tenor of this blog is now pointing towards disrespecting Filipinos as a society.

Be very careful. Take the risk but be very careful that you don’t end up hurting innocent lives.

Be very careful with your advocacy and be responsible. Be vigilant in knowing if your advocacy is not causing irreparable damage.

This bad propaganda against Filipinos didn’t begin in this blog. It has been existing over time, over emails from that Art Bell radio commentator (although it was known that he wasn’t real) but the negative propaganda continues.

Now, this new email by this US American Nasty. Look, it is one thing to fight for the truth, it is another to falsely misrepresent people.

Just be careful and be responsible of what or for whom you are fighting for. Keep a reality check – come up with a feedback mechanism wherein it helps you evaluate if what you are doing is still contributing towards your positive end goal.

I will use some of the materials here to lecture on attitudes of Filipinos that need changing. I will use it in my Sunday School catechism and make others do the same.

“Hello Garci” and Luisita

The year 2005 was a crucial turning point in the farm workers’ struggle in Luisita, and once again demonstrated the transcendental link between the hacienda and Malacañang that has been manifesting since the time of President Ramon Magsaysay.

Under pressure from public outrage over the November 2004 massacre, the Arroyo administration, through the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), formed Task Force Stock Distribution on November 25, 2004 to study the causes of the workers’ strike. The Task Force was later renamed Task Force Luisita. In March 2005, teams were sent by the DAR to Luisita’s 10 barangays to investigate the SDO.

Three months later, while the investigation was ongoing, “Hello Garci” hit the country—and possibly turned the tide in Luisita.

Cory and Noynoy defend Gloria

In early June 2005, tapes of wiretapped phone conversations between President Gloria Arroyo and Comelec (Commission on Elections) official Virgilio Garcillano surfaced. This led to accusations that Arroyo cheated during the 2004 presidential elections, and a clamor rose up for her to resign.

The late former President Cory Aquino and son Noynoy initially defended Arroyo.

Even after Arroyo delivered her famous “I am sorry” speech on TV on June 27, 2005, which the public took as an admission of guilt, and which prompted Susan Roces, widow of Arroyo’s 2004 election opponent Fernando Poe, Jr., to deliver her own famous “not once, but twice” speech, Mrs. Aquino defended Arroyo, saying: “I am glad the President has broken her silence. Her admission of judgment lapses leading to improper conduct on her part is a truly welcome development. Tonight the President has made a strong beginning and I hope she will continue in the direction of better and more responsive governance. Let us pray for her and for all of us Filipinos.”

Rep. Noynoy Aquino, for his part, said in a June 29, 2005 report of the Philippine Star that President Arroyo should be commended for admitting her mistake. He said her televised apology was “a good start” for her administration.

Two days later, on July 1, 2005, the Philippine Star reported, “Cory went on TV yesterday and… warned against using extra-constitutional means to oust President Arroyo.” The article quoted Mrs. Aquino as saying she had gone to see Susan Roces to congratulate her on “the passion of her speech and the sincerity of her convictions”, but also to stress that she would always stand by the Constitution.

Noynoy votes against playing Garci tapes

At the fifth Congressional hearing on the Garci issue on June 30, 2005, three days after Arroyo’s televised “I am sorry” speech, Rep. Noynoy Aquino voted against playing the “Hello Garci” tapes.

“Tarlac Rep. Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III disappointed his colleagues in the House when he voted on Thursday night against the playing of the audio tape, although an overwhelming majority had voted yes,” reported the Philippine Daily Inquirer on July 2, 2005.

“(Aquino’s actions) are no less than political payback” because President Arroyo was the “most powerful and influential patron” of the Cojuangco-Aquinos in the Hacienda Luisita dispute, Anakpawis party-list Rep. Rafael Mariano said in the July 2, 2005 Inquirer report. Mariano said Arroyo knew what really happened during the Luisita massacre, and that was why Rep. Noynoy Aquino played “guardian angel” to Arroyo.

(Arroyo, whose candidacy in the 2004 presidential elections was supported by Noynoy and Kris Aquino, and who originally ascended to the presidency in 2001 after Cory Aquino and various groups led the campaign to oust President Joseph Estrada from office in EDSA 2, was suspected of aiding the Cojuangco-Aquinos during the November 2004 strike in Hacienda Luisita because of the involvement of the military in the dispersal and the Assumption of Jurisdiction that was declared by the Department of Labor.)

Unfazed by the criticism, both Noynoy and Cory Aquino continued to stand by Arroyo.

Cory and Noynoy drop Gloria

But on July 8, 2005, just a little over a week after Rep. Noynoy Aquino voted not to play the Garci tapes and Mrs. Aquino lauded Arroyo for her “I am sorry” speech before admonishing Susan Roces, the Aquinos dropped their support for Arroyo.

“I ask the President to spare our country and herself . . . and make the supreme sacrifice of resigning,” Mrs. Aquino said in statement issued to the press.

The day before she gave this statement, Mrs. Aquino met with President Arroyo in Malacañang. There were rumors of a shouting match, which Mrs. Aquino denied. “Yes, we met last Thursday, but there was no shouting,” she said in a July 12, 2005 report in the Philippine Daily Inquirer. “We just kissed each other goodbye.”

From then on, she and son Noynoy actively joined the calls for Arroyo to either resign or be impeached, and to this day the scorching rift between the Aquinos and Arroyos continues to rage.

Luisita—the reason behind Aquino-Arroyo rift?

Luisita farm workers that GMANews.TV spoke to believe the Aquinos’ abrupt withdrawal of support for Arroyo had something to do with the hacienda.

The Aquinos broke ties with Arroyo in July 2005, the same month the DAR’s Task Force Luisita submitted the findings and recommendations of its investigation. This formed the basis for the government’s decision a few months later to revoke Luisita’s Stock Distribution Option (SDO) and order the distribution of the hacienda’s land to the farmers.

The farm workers believe widespread condemnation of the involvement of the military in the massacre pressured the Arroyo government into taking action to absolve itself, causing the breakdown of its ties with the Cojuangco-Aquinos. The original petition the farm workers submitted (mentioned in Part 2 of this series) lay dormant at the DAR since it was filed in December 2003, but began to move after the November 2004 massacre.

By August 2005, a special legal team was formed by the DAR to review the report submitted by Task Force Luisita in July 2005. On September 23, 2005, the special legal team submitted its terminal report recommending the revocation of Luisita’s SDO agreement.

(It was reported in part one of this series that the Stock Distribution Option was included in the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Law enacted during the Aquino administration. That crucial provision enabled landowners like the Cojuangcos to give farmers shares of stock instead of land.)

On October 1, 2005, the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported Mrs. Aquino’s reaction to the allegations that she only wanted Arroyo to resign because of the hacienda. “To underscore the point that Cory Aquino should start behaving in a politically correct manner,” Mrs. Aquino told a gathering of teachers and students at Miriam College, “the Hacienda Luisita [issue] was resurrected, a familiar refrain from the years of the Marcos dictatorship.” She added, “If Luisita were the reason, then shouldn’t I have made sipsip or at the very least kept quiet?”

Villar and NP members were on top of the celebrated exposés linked to President Arroyo, such as the “Hello Garci” tape scandal as well as the jueteng scams and the fertilizer scam.

Unfortunately, Noynoy Aquino voted not to play the “Hello Garci” tape. So, while Villar was against Arroyo’s corrupt practices, Noynoy Aquino helped perpetuate it. Only differences between Arroyo and Aquino in the handling of the Hacienda Luisita problem did Cory Aquino and family suddenly appeared to be anti-Gloria.

I can see why the author equates the Wowowee crowd with Noynoy supporters.

[1] They both reward failure (“The more pathetic your situation is, the more money the host Willie Revillame will give you.“)–Noynoy, who lacks any real accomplishment or ability, is being rewarded with the highest office of the land, while more qualified candidates are being ignored or even put down.
[2] Both go for the lower quality product.
[3] Both cater to sentimentalism and drama
[4] Both leave it to luck and fate as the main driving forces in their lives.

I’m sure there are many more parallels between the two.

Hey, guys, let’s concretize our approach to helping Gordon-Fernando win this election so they can help us revolutionize the minds of our countrymen. They are the only ones who sound more like Anti-Pinoys among the candidates so they are our best bets. I also read about their wives. Seems their hearts and heads are in the right places. So no problem there.

If we can come up with the exact percentage of voters needed for our dream team to win this election, then we can zero in on the number of friends, relatives, etc we need to commit to voting for them.

All this debate is also good but there should be practical actions we need to do to go hand in hand with the arguments.

And we should be unrelenting. We should focus. If there are more than one million bloggers here who believe in Anti-Pinoys’ ideas and out of these, if we can have each convincing at least ten relatives and friends and having them commit to the Gordon-Fernando ticket, we can have a headway.

Mas may mangyayari if we get united and focus on a more concrete solutions rather than keep on calling each other names. We are running out of time. But we should never lose hope. I always remind myself the way Kobe Bryant plays his game with great focus. EVEN THE LAST SECOND COUNTS! Let’s make him our inspiration. Let’s call our friends. Let’s write more articles about Gordon-Fernando. The more we mention Noynoy, the more people remember him. In advertising, recall is key. Even mention of a name in negative advertising works, so let’s be careful. Don’t mention other candidates’ names anymore. Focus on the candidates we like and who can help us. Let us visualize them winning and this will dictate the strength of our energy in making sure they get elected. But concrete action—making friends commit to helping us help them—is more vital.

Bong V, have you ever tried to fight for land na ninakaw sayo ng government? i bet you have not. you have no idea boy.

1980’s my father bought land in antipolo.. In 2004 antipolo cityhall under eminent domain allowed nawasa to build a canal on our land. a road and electrical post were shortly constructed after. By law, we are entitled to just compensation. Our land is worth 3 million. The mayor is offering 300 thousand. and he said that is the fair value. I would love to see you fight with the mayor. i would love to see your face when you recieve threats. I am from a quite well-off family mind you. Imagine what the poor can do.

neither do i support noynoy nor agree to the person who wrote the article. i doubt if the author of this article experienced or is experiencing poverty and i even doubt if he was in the philippines when he wrote this. i’d throw him a question “what have you done with rest of your time to help this country? write an on line article about how stupid your subjects are without even thinking if they’d have the resources to even get a computer and read about it or at least understand what you’re talking about?isnt that stupid?” if you are absolutely disgusted by wowowee, then why the **** are you watching it? you think filipinos are collectively stupid then get the hell out of this country.the fact is that they give something more tangible to people who are in need,maybe if they get some money they’d think about buying a computer decent enough to have on line access and read about your bull crap or money to be able to go to school etc etc”

haven’t you ever heard of watching a program before critiquing it? of course the author had to learn more about the show first.

the fact is that they give something more tangible to people who are in need

and they basically keep the already-poor in beggar mode instead of empowering them to earn more. give a man a fish vs. teach a man to fish, gets?

Let’s face the bitter truth, a big chunk of the country’s population is not knowledgeable enough to choose the best individuals who will govern.

accepting the truth doesn’t mean leaving things as they are nang walang imik. we can change this, but it needs work. bloggers work in this environment to change that bitter truth. ikaw, what do YOU do to change it?

Nai, he probably did not write it for any noble purpose. He may have just wrote it to express himself and his observations. That does not make his observations less valid though. Ask yourself this, if you think what he is doing is not good enough, maybe you can do what you think is good enough. Create some comic books and order 50 million copies of it to be distributed to all Filipinos. Using your logic, if you cannot do that, you should not ciriticize the author of this article too.
