Welcome to the new visitors!
ANTIPINOY.COM IS MOVING UP!
The exponential increase in Alexa rankings and the skyrocketing WordPress statistics show that our website is growing in popularity! The new number of commenters also increased so it is with great joy and pride that we, the Antipinoy.com team thank you for honoring us with your presence.
As many would say, Antipinoy.com is still not yet as “big” as the other websites there who even consider us adversaries. It is actually that thought that makes me proud of Antipinoy and should make YOU proud as one of our regular readers as well. It is not easy to read, digest and appreciate the truth. For many it brings feelings of discomfort when they are told what needs to be changed, the possibility that their beliefs could be wrong and that they need to turn the gears inside their brain that may have turned rusty and rickety due to lack of use.
Of course, we do appreciate the increase in readership as shown in the rankings surge and steep climb in the numbers of regular views, but unlike other sites, we are not obsessed with popularity. A lot of what we say will surely be unpopular because we are going against the tide. Yes, it is easy to talk about showbiz gossip, petty quarrels or support the views that the hordes of masses get easily swayed to. If we do that, we might have a lot more viewers right now who will sing the mindless choruses of kumbayas we could churn out – Wowowee style. If we march to the tune of the pied pipers, we will have a lot of rats going the same way we are but we are writers of principle and we know better than to do that.
THE HARDER RIGHT OR THE EASIER WRONG?
When given the choice between the two, for us it is better to choose the harder right than the easier wrong. How would we make use of the power of the Internet? What would we do with this novel creation called a blog? Would we make it an on-line fiesta to nourish our own egos, satisfy our need for affirmation and ramp up our popularity? Or would we rather use it as a portal for the truth to constantly emerge from? We do not need popularity nor money. We all write for Antipinoy with our hearts, minds and souls without any compensation at all except for our self-actualization and the opportunity for others to have theirs. You can have yours too by reading and understanding what the articles are trying to convey.
As you have seen in this last article by ilda, she speaks for all of us when she voiced our united stand for Senator Gordon’s bid for the presidency. A lot of Filipinos may laugh and say that he is a “trail ender” in those surveys but if those surveys can indeed be trusted, their results are a sad reflection not on Senator Gordon but on the people in general. It means that they make their decisions based on either emotionalism/sentimentalism or their propensity to being influenced by mob mentality. If indeed those characteristics are what a substantial portion of Philippine society possess, then it is really saddening. But, we at Antipinoy are a pragmatic lot. We are also principled.
We would not blindly shirk into the sidelines when we see wrongs being perpetuated. We shall state the truth no matter how hurtful or offensive others think it may be. They are the same truths that have set us free, and we hope to free the others as well from the dysfunctional culture that has incarcerated the country.
We do not claim to be the be all and end all of this cause. But as the saying goes, it is better to light even one little candle, than to stumble in the dark. We have lit our candles and we are glad that a lot have brought out theirs as well and passed on the flame. With this, please accept our humble thanks.
One- and three-month average world rankings have rocketed up!

AntiPinoy.com is taking its place among the top blogs in the Philippines and the U.S.!

And we’re still growing! (From WordPress Stats)

But for a bit of knowledge, WordPress visit stats is easily exploitable. You can circulate press releases on the internet, too, so that your Alexa rank may increase further.

They’re doing good works, too, we must admit, but anti-Pinoy goes to the root of the problems. It’s more proactive. The articles in this site you wanted us to check out are about people reacting positively, which is also good, to the symptoms of the root problem.
We applaud those who write about those who respond to the victims of the symptoms of the root problem. But we applaud more those who have the analytical minds like these anti-pinoys who attack the very root of our country’s problems and opens our eyes to them so they will finally be eradicated..
Thanks for your input anyway. Please help drumbeat the Gordon-Fernando team who, among the candidates, can help our country’s minds from further deterioration.
[Reply]
I was responding to Kayumanggi who invited us to check out the brownraise.org. which raises awareness to people doing good works within the corrupt system to help its victims—reactive. But this site–anti-Pinoy, raises awareness to the evils that caused the system to be corrup–proactive.
Carry on! Let’s keep our hopes high. Together, let’s work on a winning formula for Gordon and Fernando, our best bets to help us since they think along the same lines as we do.
[Reply]
Anti-Pinoy website advocates, I’m truly proud of you, guys. It’s not easy to go against the grain but you have fearlessly done so. Your ideas are, indeed, eye-openers and I am happy to be part of this exciting movement you have started. Congratulations!
But lest we get carried away by all this self-glorification, let’s immediately refocus on our ulitimate goal: revolutionize the Philippine culture not only through eye-opening revolutionary articles but making the election of leaders who, we believe, have the competence to lead us to where we want our beloved country to be, possible.
The more I listen to Gordon, the more I get convinced not only of his sincerity but, more importantly, his competence. I believe the leader we should choose for our critically ill country , like a surgeon, must not only be sincere but more importantly, must pass the strictest yardstick of competence. From what I hear and from what I’ve seen these two candidates–Gordon and Fernando–have already done, they pass that test.
But, just to make sure…..So we don’t have a repeat of the Marcos era when we had a brilliant leader but whose wife’s sense of direction and values were as murky as the Pasig river, can anyone please give us insights into our dream team’s wives?
Although a lot of guys would kill before they admit it, the women who share their beds and who have their exclusive ears night and day have great influence on their decisions so it is but prudent for us to know who their partners in life are….
What kind of women are Mrs. Gordon and Mrs. Fernando? What level of education did they reach? Any scandal? Any questions on their morals? Integrity?
Can anyone link us to a site, YouTube, etc. showing a short bio on these two important women as far as our dream team is concerned, please? Thanks in advance!

Nice work, guys! Keep it up!
I am fully indebted to this site. When I registered to be a voter last January or December (I forgot), I was clueless on who to vote. I did not know any single thing about politics. In fact, my first choice was Noynoy. *cringe*
If it were not for my accidental encounter with this site, I would been another stupid rabid Noynoy fanatic. However, thanks to this site, I grew. I suddenly became interested in the dysfunctions of Philippine politics and society. I learned more of the history of the Philippines that the media tried to hide distort. (One of them being how much a screw-up Cory Aquino actually was as compared to Marcos.) All of a sudden, I became interested in devouring any article related to Philippine society. In fact, I am currently writing an essay about the elections for my English class. (If I did not get a 100 from that essay, I am going to shoot my professor.
Kidding.) Of course, I also matured politically. Before, I was rooting for Noynoy, and then I leaned more onto Gibo (because we are both La Sallians), then I noticed how exemplary Nick Perlas’s track record was. However, I chose Gordon in the end.
I want to write a longer thank-you note to you guys of AntiPinoy. However, I think this is already enough to send in my huge thanks for your wonderful job. I hope that even after the May 10 elections, you would still continue to be active. (But then, with Noynoy as President, I am damn sure to see loads of articles about him and his pathetic adminstration.) Who knows, maybe I’d end up writing a full-fledged article here on Anti-Pinoy. Just wait, I am still 18.
Once again, thank you, Anti-Pinoy! VOTE GORDON-BAYANI!

Been telling my friends and brothers about AP since last year.
The first time I stumbled on Anti-Pinoy was when I was researching about presidential candidates. I spent about four hours just reading through the site! Better than a Michael Bay film, for sure. Bravo, thanks for keeping all of us informed and for providing intelligent reading for all Pinoys. Keep it up!

I read some of your articles and I must say, I’m really hooked.
I found this site two weeks ago because of my sister who was reading about an article in the sports section and since I was curious, I read the whole article and I was like “Wow! Someone actually noticed that other than me?” I decided to read the other articles and I am pretty much amazed how most of the articles voiced out some of the issues in a way that really smacks the reader awake.
I really do hope you guys (the administrators) continue the good work and pray that everyone here in the Philippines will open their bloody eyes!
