I'm so glad i found this website. I'm very annoyed at pinoys who says "I'm proud to be pinoy." especially those who don't speak the language or never been in the Philippines. What's there to be proud of if everything there is a mess

I can see what you are trying to do here and perhaps it is necessary. A dose of reality is needed every so often. I also see that your idea of improving someone is through tough love. While I respect your choice of method, I respectfully disagree with it.

In my day, children were disciplined through spanking. We were made to lie down over the couch and then whacked with a large leather belt over our behinds. I can say that my and my siblings grew up as well-mannered citizens and with good values. As I raise my kids however I realized that the belt and couch method is not always the best. Corporal punishment is not the only way to instill discipline and to improve a child. Encouragement and loving affection can also do that and has been proven to result in even better raised children.

This is how I see your site, a site that uses the belt and couch. I know you are trying to improve the Filipinos but you are doing so through "tough love" with the hope that Filipinos will be whipped into shape. I would rather emphasize the good of the Filipino and banner that, in the hope of improving the race. In Michael Moore's documentary on gun violence he notes that in Canada the news is dominated by good news about the country and news on crime are kept in the middle of the papers. He concludes that as a result Canadians are more peace-loving. I think this is a better approach for Filipinos where we encourage each other rather than put each other down.

Like what i said I see what you are doing and your intentions are good. I guess I just do not agree with the method. Good luck and best regards. I doubt if I will be visiting your site with regularity hereafter. In the few times I would though i will be sure to voice my opinions. Thanks.

Hello, I would just like to point out something.

To me, I am the Anti-Pinoy. I did not grow up here and all along I thought the Pinoy was synonymous to the Filipino (it being the heritage side) as I was growing up. But in recent years, as I thought about it, the Pinoy is the Anti-Filipino. The Pinoy, to me, was simply a term derived by those to identify themselves as "cool" or "mainstream."

This is arguable, but this was fanned by the mainstream media, contemporary music and the tv shows and movies that we (oh so badly) produce. From Bamboo (Noypi) to the PBB theme song, we can see how this has perverted the Filipino into turning into the Pinoy.

It's like a brand I guess. Our logo as a Filipino was just not cool anymore, so we changed the logo, revamped it to becoming a Pinoy.

I maybe wrong, but from some of the comments and posts here, I see some of you referring to the common population as Da Pinoy. Isn't this a little inconsistent with the article above but more consistent with my interpretation of this term?

Anyway, that's all.

Can we have a blog about day-after computerized-vote count?

1. Will there be organized chaos?
2. Will there be coup-de-t'at caused by chaos?
3. Will there be a martial law caused by chaos?
4. Will it be forever be tainted as rigged as like we are pestered by "Did Erap resigned?" "Did Erap abscond?" "Did Erap forced out?" until now these questions still haunt us.
5. Will the elected by the computer-count ever sit and serve?
6. Will there be everlasting invistigation to nowhere?
7. Will the Supreme Court get swamped with election decisions?
8. Will the sitting president be able to serve the people instead of parrying questions of the election result?
9. Will we ever be free of scandals, corruptions, vote-rigging?
10Will there ever be a goot analysis from columnistas to inform the people instead of the people searching in blogs for answers?

I know you got plenty of questions out there. Let's get going on this before some troll columnistas hijack your thread.

Thank you.
